Motorpoint has officially unveiled its pro-cycling team at its headquarters in Derby. The company has broken with tradition once again by becoming the first car supermarket to launch its own team in the UK.
Led by Ed Clancy MBE, the pro-cycling team will compete in all of the UK cycling events, including the British Premier Calendar, Tour Series and the Tour of Britain together with a number of high-profile races in Europe and Asia. The team get their first taste of action at the Eddie Soens Singapore Criteria in Singapore followed by the Cintron Tour Majorca in early April.
Joining Clancy in the saddle will be fellow Team GB pursuiter Andy Tennant together with Malcolm Elliott, Ian Bibby, Andrew Roche and Steve Burke among others. The team will be run by Keith Lambert, ex-rider and former Team Manager at Halfords Bikehut.
