Five Motorpoint jersey competition winners from Rolls Royce recently completed a charity bike ride from Derby to Skegness.
The five, who all worked in the Rolls-Royce Aero Repair & Overhaul (AR&O) Department, battled 10mph headwinds to complete the 100-mile ride, now in its 16th year, in five and half hours.
The charity aims to raise £9,000 for a variety of good causes including the Rainbows Children’s Hospice; Scills Centre in Sinfin; The Derbyshire Childrens Home in Skegness as well as the Clic Sargent Teenage Cancer Trust; the Lewis Mighty Appeal and Georgie’s Fund.
Anyone wishing to support their very worthy cause can do so by sending a cheque to ‘AR&O Bikers & Walkers (c/o Paul Johnson) Rolls-Royce, Sinfin D-site, Wilmore Road, Derby.
