Hot on the heels of his success on the Isle of Mann, Motorpoint’s star in the making Josh Edmondson is looking to steal the show at this weekend’s National Junior Road Race Championship in Wales.
Over 100 riders are set to line up on Sunday for the 74-mile course through the Brecon Beacons, including the brutal climb of Defynnog. Josh, who has just won the Isle of Man leg of the Junior National Series as well as climbing the King of the Mountains jersey for Team GB in the Czech Republic, lines up at the start line as one of the favourites. Previous winners include Steve Cummins, who is currently showing of his skills for Team Sky in the Giro d’Italia.
Says Josh: “I’ve had a brief look at the course and it’s got quite a few little climbs. I could do with it being a bit hillier but I’m sure it’s still going to be tough.”
