Motorpoint’s Hannah Barnes won the Women’s Circuit Race at the HTC Smithfield Nocturne on Saturday night – for the second year succession.
Hannah, who started as one of the favourites for the 40-minute race, didn’t waste any time, attacking from the off, hanging on the wheel of a small group of riders including close rivals Corrine Hall and Nicola Juniper before snatching the final sprint at Smithfield Market in front of an estimated crowd of 10,000 people.
Says Hannah: “I didn’t want a big group at the finish because knowing me; I’d get boxed in so I was pleased with how the race went.”
